New York City real estate investor buys Scranton real estate

A New York City real estate investor has purchased five buildings at Mulberry Street and North Webster Avenue.

$2.8 million (£2.23 million) for four retail spaces and 14 apartment units near the University of Scranton, from former owner Christian Nicolais and 408 Quincy Inc. The building at 1201 Mulberry St. currently houses CK’s Pizza and three other businesses. The other buildings include 406, 410 and 414 N. Webster Ave., and 1205 Mulberry St.

Mr. Mitchell, who also is eying a home near Lake Wallenpaupack to live four days a week, will retain the current maintenance staff in Scranton, and has started a Pennsylvania company to manage his Scranton properties, he said.
