Only one real estate firm comes forward to help county sell former Talon headquarters

by Jonathan Adams

Only one proposal has been submitted to Crawford County for the marketing of the county-owned former Talon Inc. Building A and a half-acre of land on upper Arch Street.

The lone proposal to market the property is from ERA Richmond Real Estate of Meadville with the cost to be 10 per cent of the building and property’s sale price, Mark Peaster told county commissioners at their work session Wednesday. Peaster is administrative assistant to county commissioners and handles bid specifications for the county.

Commissioners may vote on the proposal at their board meeting Sept. 14, Chairman Francis Weiderspahn Jr. said Wednesday. “We had four express interest, but got only one proposal,” Weiderspahn said.
