As Ordinal inscriptions near the 150,000 mark, blocks bigger than 3 MB have become commonplace, with a number of blocks near the 4 MB mark. The average block size has reduced and was 2.114 MB on February 18, 2023. Along with the blocks bigger than 3 MB, there are also a rising number of blocks near the 4 MB range being mined. As per statistics from blockchair.com, a long list of blocks that are 3.75 MB or more has been mined. All of the blocks bigger than 3.75 MB have been mined in February.

Average onchain fees for Bitcoin have continued to be steady following a 122 per cent rise in average fee costs in the first week of February 2023, and have stayed within the range of $1.7. On February 15, 2023, BTC fees did rise to $2.465 per transfer. As of February 18, 2023, median-sized fees are nearly 0.00003 BTC or $0.744 per transfer. Median fees on Bitcoin have also continued to be steady following the initial rise in the first week of February.

Just four days back, the number of Ordinal inscriptions reached 100,000, and now it is steadily nearing 150,000. Currently, there are nearly 145,630 Ordinal inscriptions embedded into the Bitcoin blockchain.
