An international commercial real estate company has recognized a pair of West Michigan brokers for being among its top producers in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
At its annual awards banquet last week in Washington, D.C., Colliers International Group recognized Duke Suwyn and John Kuiper.
Suwyn is Colliers International | West Michigan’s CEO and chairman, and Kuiper is the office’s president.
Both were inducted into the 2015 Everest Club, recognizing Colliers’ top 10 percent of producers.
Suwyn has been in the club every year since he joined Colliers in 2010, and Kuiper has joined the club three times.
“Duke and John inspire our entire team to do our best every day for our clients, for our community and for West Michigan’s future economic and cultural growth,” said Jamie Stiles, director of operations, Colliers International | West Michigan.

Suwyn has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience.
In 2015, he sold the 375,000-square-foot 1340 Monroe Ave. building and the 350,000-square-foot Wolverine Worldwide warehouse. He also represented Franklin Partners in its redevelopment and leasing of 25 Ottawa.
John Kuiper
Kuiper, along with his president title, is principal advisor of the industrial group at Colliers International | West Michigan.
Kuiper’s 2015 accomplishments include representing Display Pack in its sale of 1340 Monroe Ave. and its relocation to Cedar Springs, the sale of 234 Market Ave. SW to Maple Grove Development and the sale of 505 Ball Ave. NW to Vandermill Cider.
