Insurance brokers acquire a new business

by Jonathan Adams

NORTHERN Lincolnshire-founded Henderson Insurance Brokers Ltd has acquired a North East business, with two further acquisitions understood to be in the pipeline.

Branch Insurance Brokers of Sunderland has been bought by the company, which still has its administration base at Kirmington – underlining a long established quality clientele built up over 30 years as a key attraction.

It is an operation that will complement HIBL’s presence in the North East.

“I am delighted to welcome Larry Branch and his staff to the Henderson Group. HIBL’s prime growth is organic and while this approach continues very successfully, we will always consider opportunities”, said, Joe Henderson, group chief executive.

Budgeted revenue for 2016, a year in which Henderson celebrates its 30th anniversary, is now set at £35 million.

It follows the purchase of credit insurance specialist, The John Reynolds Group, earlier this year.
