CEOs out at FXCM and Oanda UK

by Paul

It was a week about change in Forex industry.

The drama at FXCM Inc. (NASDAQ:FXCM) cost CEO Drew Niv his job. Longtime Oanda UK CEO Daniel Skowronski left. Investing.com shut its auto trading service for Forex brokers, SignalTrader.com.

Investing.com had launched Signal Trader back in 2014, but the service never gained much traction with either retail traders or with Forex brokers. The company had initially focused on getting Retail Forex brokers to offer the service. However beyond agreements with Australia-based brokers IC Markets and Core Liquidity Markets, and CySEC regulated broker FxGrow, we aren’t aware of any other deals signed by SignalTrader.

In more positive news, BlackRock took a 9% position in IG Group Holdings plc. (LON:IGG), while ActivTrades opened a new office in Dubai.
