Dogecoin up as Twitter changes its logo to Dogecoin image

Twitter users noticed that the blue bird logo on Twitter’s homepage had been changed to the shiba inu picture related to the Dogecoin memecoin crypto currency

Social networking giant Twitter replaced its famed blue bird logo on Monday to resemble the logo of a popular crypto currency – an image of a dog that is seen in viral memes.

After Twitter changed its logo, the value of Dogecoin climbed to $0.094 from $0.079, its highest value since November 2022.

On Monday, US time, Twitter users noticed that the blue bird logo on Twitter’s homepage and loading screen had been changed to the shiba inu picture related to the Dogecoin memecoin crypto currency.

Musk has not detailed the cause for the change, however as per some users, it was supposed to be an April fool’s day gag that the firm was not able to bring on time on 1 April.

It came soon after Musk petitioned a court in the United States to dismiss a litigation filed against him by Dogecoin investors for $258 billion over an alleged pyramid scheme.

Reuters reported in June 2022 that as per the complaint, the litigants claim Musk knew that since 2019 the crypto currency had no value, but promoted the crypto currency to benefit from its trading.

Musk used his position as the richest person in the world to operate and manipulate the Dogecoin Pyramid Scheme for profit, exposure and amusement, the complaint supposedly mentioned.

The petitioners supposedly complained that Dogecoin sell-off started when Musk appeared on a TV programme named Saturday Night Live and cited Dogecoin as a “hustle” during the course of the programme.

Musk and Tesla lawyers have termed the allegations in the lawsuit as a ‘fanciful work of fiction’ over Musk’s ‘innocuous and often silly tweets’ about Dogecoin.

Dogecoin’s value climbed in 2022 after Musk declared Tesla merchandise could be bought using it.
