A development along Frederick’s Monocacy Boulevard will add nearly 300 units in two buildings to more than 550 single-family houses, after getting approval from the city of Frederick’s Planning Commission on Monday night.
The commission also approved a final site plan for nearly 32,000 square feet of retail space, to be built on more than 5 acres as part of the project on the land known as the Renn property. The property is along Monocacy Boulevard and East Church Street, near Frederick Municipal Airport.
The residential units, which will be either apartments or condominiums, will consist of 279 units in two four-story buildings, according to planning documents.
