NFT Tech figures demonstrate that trailing Polygon in popularity is Immutable X, which is followed by Palm, and others
Polygon has come up as the most popular blockchain so far this year, as per the latest data. The figures, which were prepared by NFT Tech, was shared by Ryan Wyatt, the president of Polygon Labs.
Sharing the data, Wyatt said that the Polygon team is focused on long-term protocol strategies with the goal to empower every developer in their community. The figures demonstrate that Ethereum, which led to its popularity last year because of its popularity, liquidity, and high active users, has been deposed by Polygon.
The most recent figure now discloses that the circumstance has turned in favour of Polygon. This has also drawn some big companies such as Nike, Reddit, and Starbucks.

Polygon has also been seeing growth and a rise in transaction volume on Polygon zkEVM, which hit all-time highs. The figures indicate that there has been a 70 per cent rise in total value locked (TVL), which is the biggest week-over-week climb since the launch. May 14 also saw the single-day record for the highest successful transaction volume, which stood at 13k+.
Another thing to be noticed is that while the transaction fees on other blockchains, including that of Bitcoin, were soaring amidst the meme coin frenzy, Polygon fees declined even at the time of peak activity period. Moreover, the positive transaction data has also caused the price of MATIC to rise by 2.8 per cent during the past 24 hours. As per CoinMarketCap data, MATIC was changing hands at $0.8784 at one point.
