About half of Americans agree with President Trump’s temporary travel ban on people from seven countries but less than one-third believe it makes them safer, a new poll said Wednesday.
The Reuters/Ipsos poll on the ban, which also prevents refugees from entering the United States for 120 days, found that 49 per cent of Americans agreed with the order and 41 per cent disagreed.
Thirty-one per cent of people said the ban made them feel “more safe,” while 26 per cent said it made them feel “less safe.”
Another 33 per cent said it would not make any difference and the rest said they don’t know.
