Meanwhile, Verizon Communications Inc advanced 0.56% or 0.21 points to close at 37.70 and Procter & Gamble Company was 0.56% or 0.81 points higher to 146.54 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc, which dropped 1.84% or 0.49 points to trade at 26.11 at the close. Salesforce Inc dropped 0.92% or 2.44 points to close at 263.14 and Dow Inc was 0.71% or 0.39 points lower to 54.84.

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Boston Scientific Corp which added 2.72% to 57.81, Molina Healthcare Inc which was up 1.47% to settle at 361.65 and Hershey Co which gained 1.27% to end at 186.44.

The worst performers were Albemarle Corp which was 3.31% lower to 144.48 in late trade, Warner Bros Discovery Inc which shed 2.65% to settle at 11.38 and PayPal Holdings Inc which was 2.65% lower to 61.41 at the close.

The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Sentage Holdings Inc which added 182.49% to 5.00, China SXT Pharmaceuticals Inc which was 91.79% higher to settle at 3.97 and Qilian International Holding Group Ltd which advanced 69.58% to end at 0.77.

The worst performers were Global Mofy Metaverse Ltd which was 49.91% lower to 5.58 in late trade, Cue Health Inc which shed 42.23% to settle at 0.16 and MOBIX LABS, INC which was down 34.42% to 4.02 at the close.`
