by Jonathan Adams

UK-based charity crowdfunding platform JustGiving has been bought by cloud player Blackbaud for $120m (£94m).

The acquisition of JustGiving will complement BlackBaud’s existing fundraising capabilities through TeamRaiser and Everydayhero. Blackbaud is to acquire all of the outstanding equity interests of JustGiving for $120m (£94m), which it will fund with cash-on-hand as well as borrowings.

“Today, people are willing to do more than ever before to support causes they care about, but they want to do it on their own terms,” said Jerry Needel, president and general manager of Blackbaud Consumer Solutions.
